Research Brain – Employee Registry

Document Type: Canon
Status: Canon
Version: v1.3
Authority: HeadOffice
Applies To: Research Brain employee roles, authority boundaries, intelligence production, and enforcement separation
Parent: Research Brain Architecture
Last Reviewed: 2026-03-15

Purpose

This document defines the formal employee structure of Research Brain.

Its purpose is to ensure that Research Brain produces structured intelligence through clearly separated roles, controlled authority boundaries, and governed analytical outputs.

This registry exists to define:

• who performs intake discipline
• who validates evidence
• who enforces insight linkage
• who tracks competitors
• who maps win/loss patterns
• who produces pattern analysis
• how authority separation is preserved across MWMS

Scope

This canon applies to:

• all Research Brain employees
• employee role definitions
• employee authority boundaries
• trigger conditions
• output types
• governance separation between Research Brain and operational Brains

This document governs who Research Brain employees are, what they may do, and what they may not do.

It does not govern:

• campaign execution
• capital allocation
• scaling approval
• direct opportunity approval
• canon mutation
• strategic override authority

Those remain governed by HeadOffice, Affiliate Brain, Finance Brain, SIT Brain, and the broader MWMS canon structure.

Structural Impact

Research Brain now formally contains:

• intake discipline
• evidence validation
• competitive intelligence production
• win/loss intelligence mapping
• pattern detection layer
• saturation detection engine

Separation maintained:

• Research Brain → produces structured intelligence
• Affiliate Brain → evaluates opportunity viability
• Finance Brain → controls capital
• SIT Brain → enforces compliance

Competitive Narrative Mapping responsibility resides in Research Brain.

Affiliate Brain consumes this intelligence.
It does not generate it.

Governance separation is preserved.

Drift Protection

The system must prevent:

• Research Brain employees performing execution work
• competitive analysis being mistaken for opportunity approval
• analytical roles expanding into capital decisions
• employee outputs being treated as strategy overrides
• intelligence production crossing into campaign command
• canon mutation by employee-layer outputs

Research Brain employees remain intelligence producers only.

Architectural Intent

The Research Brain Employee Registry exists to make intelligence production inside MWMS structured, role-based, and governable.

It ensures that intake, evidence validation, competitive analysis, win/loss intelligence, and pattern detection are all performed through bounded employee roles rather than blurred analytical behaviour.

This protects governance separation across the wider MWMS ecosystem.

Final Rule

Research Brain employees may produce intelligence, but they may not convert intelligence into authority.

Insight is their function. Approval is not.
